Pact Group’s Sustainability Division Recycle Used Breathalyser Straws

In an effort to divert four million plastic straws, weighing 20 tonnes, from landfill in Victoria each year, Pact Group’s Sustainability division – Astron – have successfully completed a trial of recycling 120 kilos of used breathalyser straws.
The straws are melted into resin pellets and then manufactured into underground cable covers. Cable cover provides long-term protection to safeguard underground infrastructure investment from damage in the future.
